I got a bit busy and never posted pictures from Primavera Sound. I started making plans for next year today, which reminded me how good it was.
Two of the standout bands for me were Davila 666 and Darkstar. Davila 666 (from Puerto Rico) were already making hundreds of wild-dancing Spanish girls go mental when the news came through that FCB had beaten Manchester United in the 2011 Champions League Final at Wembley.
Darkstar (from England) were being so brilliant that I walked alone up to the stage with no idea who they were, and then I realised I was standing right next to my friends, who knew them. Magic. Thank you, Barcelona.
PS—Plus I took a picture of Matty Pipes looking very solemn, which is never bad.
