Red chairs in downtown Louisville, sent for your viewing pleasure from Juanita’s fabulous orange sofa in Echo Park.
The Galt House renovated it’s top-floor, river-view, rotating (as in, don’t leave your handbag on the window ledge) restaurant a few months ago. It’s quite sleek,
particularly if you’ve just schlepped through skyway after skyway all the way from the Marriot along the intermittently signposted “Louie Link” via Fourth Street Live’s Three Dog Night concert.
(It got really confusing. We managed to succesfully navigate the bit in the Hyatt where you think you’re meant to go downstairs but actually the trail continues down a little corridor that looks like it leads to the bathroom or somesuch non exist, but fourth street screwed us up. Unusually friendly security kept barring our path and telling us to get wristbands, even though we were just lost Angelenos trying to get to a restaurant. It turned out the show was actually free, so I’m not sure why they were so insistent. No ID checks or nuffin.)
[Tomorrow I will break from all this recent Kentuckyishness and list the reasons why Blitzen Trapper's return to the El Rey was officially a Cursed Show of Doom.]
