about rjc

 (Rachel Juarez-Carr)
I was born in Essex in the ’80s, got my journalism degree in London, spent my 20s in Los Angeles and shoot everywhere.

NME, GQ, Under the Radar, LA Weekly, Brooklyn Vegan, Prefix,Cathay Pacific’s Discovery Magazine, Impose, Rockscope, Fuck Yeah Fest/FYF Fest, LAist, LA Record,Warner Bros, InCase, Mr & Mrs Smith, Istanbul ’74, Fabled Events, Videothing, Rolling Greens, The Image Story, Bang Art, Lush Life, Ilegal Mezcal, Añedul Magazine, Capobiano, Smith & Family, The Eastsider LA, La Escondida, the Ampersand, Tobi Hannah, Breed London

I was a staff photographer for Prefix 2007–2010 and a contributing photographer for LA Record and LAist 2008–2011.

A personal portraits-and-profiles project, a documentary set about life on Pantelleria, and the unabashedly voyeuristic throughwindows.com. And before that, a mostly music photography book called Seven Years of Ordinary Life in L.A.
